Artist Statement
My name is Breanna Edwards and I am a designer & illustrator. I started drawing at a
very young age and yes growing up Art was my favorite subject in school. With my talent I can
create breathtaking illustrations. Art is something I’ve been passionate about my whole life, so it
made sense to pursue a degree in something I love. My major is Visual Communication &
Digital Media Arts with a concentration in Advertising design.
Growing up I loved reading and as I got older, I turned to magazines to enjoy and
collected a few of them. I began to get into Editorial Design and decided that I should create a
zine. Thus, DEBUT was born.
Biography
Breanna Edwards
Breanna Edwards is a graphic designer and an illustrator from Prince George's County Maryland. As an artist she set challenges for herself. Breanna didn’t always draw realistic illustrations and most of her early drawings were of Disney characters. When she felt that she mastered drawing 2D animations, Breanna began to draw realistic. As she progresses, her realistic illustrations transformed in what she does now. As you know every artist has a weakness and Breanna’s is painting. To solve this problem, she began to experiment with digital illustration and in the process ended up finding her own style!
